Professional Capital was founded by em. Prof. dr. Willem Verbeke and Maarten Colijn who met each other at the Sales & Marketing faculty of the Erasmus University. They discovered that a focus on the right commercial mindset within a training is essential for a sales professional and together they developed a modern training approach.

Richard Bagozzi Lab
The Richard Bagozzi Lab is a scientific partner of ExploreMe. Richard P. Bagozzi's lab (160,000+ Google Scholar Quotes) is part of the Marketing faculty of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan (USA).
Research is mainly done, using neuroscientific methods, into the role of human emotions and personal and social identity in decision-making and in carrying out actions.
Emeritus professor Willem Verbeke, the founder of ExploreMe, is extremely involved in this and together with professor Bagozzi he wrote more than 30 peer-reviewed papers.

Project Alpha: Genetic and Epigenetic Study of Psychological Development
For ExploreMe, Professor Willem Verbeke is involved in Project Alpha: Genetic and Epigenetic Study of Psychological Development. This is a new and ambitious venture with the aim of bridging a well-known phenomenon called the transmission gap.
It aims to investigate how epigenetic markers (such as methylation) affect the expression of genetic variables that have a major effect on the development of personality traits and attachment styles.
These subsequently also have an effect on the resilience development of commercial professionals.

Scientific partner, Dr. Jolly Masih is working on Epidemological research in health care and lifestyles including consumer behaviour. She was Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and worked with Erasmus Medical College on a project involving epigenetics and attachment styles.
Dr. Amita Sharma
Scientific partner. Guest Post-Doctoral Researcher at Erasmus University, Rotterdam and worked on machine learning and big data with a focus on the relationship between biomarkers (like the immune system) and depression/anxiety.
